Meet the maker

Hello and welcome to my little store full of goodness handcrafted by me, Annabelle, aka Three Red Apples, from my studio in Devon. I make a range of freehand machine embroidered textile artworks, using a mix of vintage, recycled and new materials.

My work has an eclectic, granny chic vibe. I use my sewing machine to 'draw' straight onto fabric. No fancy tools, I simply move the fabric under the needle.

Me in a nutshell...

I love... mixing old and new, giving lost souls a new lease of life, thifting, the outdoors, rock climbing, sleeping, the British sense of humor, life, trying things out, free spirits, good food :) well I am French after all!

I have been living in the South West of the UK for… hmmm... many years. Way before crossing the Channel from Brittany where I come from, my addiction for making started in my Dad's huge workshop as a kid. I would spend hours making all sorts, hammer in hand, while Mum’s kitchen table was the perfect spot for paint brushes and scissors.

In 2009, I left my old job as a web designer to start on a new adventure. It was time to go back to something more hands on. I started Three Red Apples little by little, finding my feet and learning new skills.

If you would like to know more about me and my work, feel free to pop over to my blog. You can also follow me on Twitter, Facebook and Flickr.
